Vision Statement

At Arabesque Music Studios, we identify with the distinct learning style of each individual. We are devoted to providing individuals of all ages and skill level with exceptional music education. 




                       

 


Payment
If the client is signing up for lessons during the summer months to start in September, we require a non-refundable deposit cheque in order to reserve a spot (amount of the cheque depends on the length of lessons a client chooses) that cheque will go towards lessons in September. To ensure consistency, a receipt (stamped:Paid) will be emailed to students at the end of each term in .pdf format; please ensure your computer has acrobat reader (free download). Students (or their parents) are to issue post dated cheques for the first of each month payable to Arabesque Music Studios (required at registration). No receipts will be reissued; clients are strongly encouraged to keep records of all receipts since they may be useful for tax return purposes. The cheque for the second month of lessons should include the $25 registration fee, the cost of books, and the cost of any accessories recommended by the instructor. If the cheque is not cleared, the student will be responsible for the amount owing as well as any fees incurred by the payee as imposed by both financial institution(s) of the student’s as well as AMS’s.

Being late
We kindly ask all our students to be on time for their lesson. Instructors must stick to the schedule and will only allow you to make up missed time if their schedule permits that day but are not obliged to.  

Rescheduling and cancellation policy
Any cancellation or rescheduling has to be made at least 48 hours in advance; otherwise, the lesson’s cost is forfeit. Special cases may be discussed with the owner not the instructor. If you need to reschedule a lesson, instructors will do their best to accommodate you, however, they are not obliged to reschedule your lesson. The student will not get a refund for that lesson if the instructor cannot make it up. The instructor will make up the lesson if he/she were not able to teach in the regular lesson time. Please note that you are only allowed up to 4 lesson reschedules per year (Sept- June). So make sure you save your cancellations or reschedules for times you really need them. 

Stopping Music Lessons
If, for any reason, a client decides to stop taking music lessons, after Arabesque Music Studios is informed, the next month’s post dated cheque will be cashed (4 lessons worth). All other cheques after that will be returned to the client. 

Honesty policy
At Arabesque Music Studios, we believe that honesty enhances communication and satisfaction of all parties involved. Our instructors are trained to recognize the student’s progress on a weekly basis and are willing to spend the time and effort during the lesson to assist each student to better use their practice time at home. Therefore, it is extremely important that you tell your instructor when you don’t understand a concept and need more clarification. Understanding a concept well at the lesson time will definitely assist the student in reaching their musical goals faster. We want the lessons to be beneficial so make sure you ask all the questions you need to ask.  Keep the communication channels open; Suggestions and feedback are always welcome.
